We have continued our nature journal with exploring YELLOW apples! If you missed the start of our nature journal please read the post, "Nature Journal: RED Apples." My daughter, who is currently 2 years and 4 months, enjoys doing these pages. It takes only a few seconds to make the apples with finger paint. After, I let her use the extra paint to paint yellow on a blank page which keeps her attention a bit longer!
If you would like to do this activity with your child please print off the page pictured above here. I printed mine on white card-stock paper for durability. Then I use yellow finger paint for the apples on the tree. If you don't have finger paint in the house you might try a yellow crayon, pom poms, stamp pad, bingo dot, or a marker. After, I display it on our table top easel then I add it to our 3-ring nature binder!
To extend our learning we collected yellow items and placed them in a plastic shoe box container! Lastly I clipped the word YELLOW to the box with a yellow chip clip.
Happy Homeschooling!
