Establishing a Routine:
Each family has their own unique routine that works best for them! Be flexible with your routine but recognize the importance of consistency in a schedule.
School Time Tips:
Find a toolbox of ideas to use with the child who has difficulty staying on task, focusing, or completing tasks.
Concluding Thoughts: Preserve
After a difficult day with my own strong-willed child the Lord laid this verse on my heart from Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." This verse was an encouragement to me! Children have an eternal value! Any time, effort, and energy we put into our children, for the glory of God, is GOOD! So DON'T become weary! Keep going, persevere!
Listen to what Paul David Tripp said about parenting,
"(There are) few things in life,
that would rise to the level of importance,
of being God's chosen instrument,
to be part of the forming of a soul, of a human being...
that is a pretty awesome task."
